For many of us doing community change work, in all its forms: homelessness, poverty, addictions, education, health, the list goes on – we recognize that the work is deeply personal and can be exhaustive, leading not only to potential burn out, but also feelings that our work is not making an impact, or feelings of being overwhelmed of all that needs to be done. Finding Ground is a project about people and practices to refuel, support, to continue the work with imagination, courage, and strength while learning to set healthy work-life boundaries and practices of self-care so that our efforts and passion can serve ourselves and others, while remaining balanced.
Initiatives may include activities such as: book and study clubs, yoga and meditation, nature exploration, discussion groups, social gatherings. This exciting program will launch this Fall in October and November.
